Bangladesh’s vision is to become a developed country by 2041. This International Conference will, in essence, articulate a development roadmap to achieve that vision. The story of Bangladesh’s growth is exemplary to the world. While the global economic annual growth is hovering around 3 to 3.5 per cent (1.5 per cent growth in Europe, 2.4 percent growth in the USA, 3.4 percent growth in the Sub-Saharan economies and around 5 percent growth in Asian economies), Bangladesh has managed a steadily ascending growth curve over the last two decades standing now at 7.11 percent.

Bangladesh is on an upward trajectory to achieve a Middle Income Country status by the year 2021. This rise to MIC status will be featured by 8 percent GDP growth, 34.4 percent private investment growth and 31 percent industrial growth by 2021.

Bangladesh is on track to become 30th largest economy of the world by the year 2030 with a $1 trillion GDP, double digit economic growth and $6000 per capita income in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP). Footing on the track, Bangladesh also envisions being a developed economy by the year 2041 featured by $2.5 trillion GDP and $12600 per capita income.
