BTF- Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation

Taekwondo is now a well known martial art in Bangladesh. Started less than a decade ago Taekwondo has become an important Sports Federation among other who attained national and international reputation.
Mr. Mahmudul Islam Rana Gen. Secretary of Bangladesh Taekwondo has given a new dimension to this sport in Bangladesh.His relentless works made taekwondo the leading martial art in Bangladesh.Mr Rana’s leadership and well management has made this federation an active and successful sports federation which is rare in Bangladesh. For His excellent contribution, An international certificate has been awarded to Mr Mahmudul Islam Rana by world Taekwondo federation which is handed over by H. E. Ambassador of Korea in Bangladesh on 10th September, 2009 on an occasion.

Untiring efforts by the family of the Taekwondo Federation enabled this game to achieve a strong platform. Participation of various Districts/ Associations/ Clubs, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Border Guards, Bangladesh Ansar & VDP team gave Taekwondo a new life in Bangladesh. With the overall support from the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) , Taekwondo players has drawn interest of all by participating in the physical displays at the national programs and events . By the cooperation of all, especially of the government and non-government sponsors, Taekwondo will be able to keep special attraction and exciting tracks of Martial Arts in our country. It is expected that in near future the advancement of Taekwondo will be more smooth and organized.

কোরিয়ান ঐতিহ্যবাহী মার্শাল আর্ট এবং অলিম্পিক গেমস “তায়কোয়ানডো” বাংলাদেশের ক্রীড়াঙ্গনে বর্তমানে একটি সুপরিচিত নাম।তায়কোয়ানডোর যাত্রা এদেশে বেশী দিনের না হলেও ফেডারেশনের সক্রিয় ভূমিকা এবং নিয়মিত কার্যক্রমের ফলে আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনে সুনাম অর্জনকারী কয়েকটি ফেডারেশনের মধ্যে একটি এটি অন্যতম একটি ফেডারেশন।বিশ্বের প্রাচীনতম রণকৌশল হিসাবে পরিচিত তায়কোয়ানডো বহু গবেষক ও বিশেষজ্ঞদের বিরামহীন গবেষণা এবং ঐকান্তিক প্রচেষ্টার ফসল হিসাবে বর্তমানে একটি সুশৃঙ্খল এবং সম্পূর্ণ বিজ্ঞানসম্মত আধুনিক মার্শাল আর্ট ইভেন্টে পরিণত হয়েছে।অলিম্পিক ইভেন্ট হিসাবে স্বীকৃত এ মার্শাল আর্ট

আত্মবিশ্বাস এবং আত্মরক্ষা

এ চারটি সুদৃঢ় ভিত্তির উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত এবং এ খেলা শারীরিক এবন মানসিক শক্তিকে চমৎকারভাবে সমন্বয় ঘটিয়ে সমাজ তথা জাতি গঠনে সহায়ক ভূমিকা পালন করে যাচ্ছে। ইতোমধ্যে বাংলাদেশ আঞ্চলিক ও আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে যথাক্রমে
এস.এ গেমসে ২০০৬ সালে একটি স্বর্ণ পদক ,
২০১০ সালে দুটি স্বর্ণ পদক ,
২০০৮ সালে ৫ম কোরিয়া ওপেন ইন্টারন্যাশনাল চামপিয়নশিপে দুটি স্বর্ণ পদক ,
২০১২ সালে ৭ম কোরিয়া ওপেন ইন্টারন্যাশনাল চ্যামপিয়নশিপে একটি স্বর্ণ , একটি রূপ্য ও একটি ব্রোঞ্জ পদক ,
এবং ২০১১ সালে ৫ম কমনওয়েলথ তায়কোয়ানডো চ্যামপিয়নশিপে একটি স্বর্ণ , একটি রূপ্য ও দুটি ব্রোঞ্জ পদক জয় করতে সক্ষম হয়েছে।

আসুন সবাই তায়কোয়ানডো অনুশীলন করি এবং একজন সুস্থ নাগরিক হিসেবে নিজেকে গড়ে তুলে জাতিকে সমৃদ্ধ করি।
