Cox's Bazar Youth Development Society - CYDS

Cox’s Bazar, probably the most beautiful place in the world is holding the honor of being the largest sea beach here. Place of sea, place of hills and the largest tourism friendly zone in the country. Through course of time and passing different phases of education we came to learn that things has always been challenging for a student living in Cox’s Bazar as the town had not been adequately specialized in anything other than tourism. While a student in Dhaka or other developed areas in the country are enjoying all the facilities and having all the needs fulfilled required for something called proper educational opportunities. We may have an overview of their abilities in science fairs, sports, debates, cultural activities and other segments as well, but the point that is being overlooked is that they are deprived of such opportunities to prove their credibility or to upgrade their personal skills, leadership qualities, public speaking and so on, compared to that of Dhaka or other cities of Bangladesh. Despite of being one of the most attractive and beautiful place of Bangladesh we see Cox’s Bazar is still lagging behind from other parts of the country in various aspects as the focus has always been on the tourism negating parallel development for the local people of the town. And hence, education has always been negated in the same way and the worst sufferers of this are the youngsters of our beloved town Cox’s Bazaar.
Human being has always been fascinated by challenges and to the youths this is more appealing than anyone else. Sometimes this challenge stems from responsibility. Having realized such responsibility, here we are some students from Cox’s Bazar accelerated towards our unique goal to create a legal platform for the youth of Cox’s Bazar where they will be able to unveil all there hidden potentials. Our journey has already been started holding the banner CYDS (Cox’s Bazar Youth Development Society). We are here to focus on developing the extra-curricular activities of youths and their leadership qualities as well. We are also about to provide a lot of options to disclose their hidden abilities and help them nourish their potentiality for becoming a future leader. So with a great hope in our heart, we want to take the challenge, change the status quo and make a student in our community enjoy everything like any other student in the developed areas. We, CYDS (Cox’s Bazar Youth Development Society) believe that this problem can be solved cogently if we handle the issue with utmost care, arrange some effective programs, carry out campaigns and above all have the feelings of amenableness we have for this town.
Leadership is not just something what a leader possess, rather it’s a skill and can be possessed by anyone if provided with committed and effective training, associated with proper approach for teaching, how to communicate and spacing out for several extra-curricular activities. We aim to come up with programs which will enhance cultivation of such skills within a member of our forum. Consequently, psychological development and apt mind set up is what we believe to be the most sensitive of all and that determines how everything revolves around. Our specialized consultant team is always ready to guide our members with proper advices. “What career to choose?”, “What should I pursue for my aim in life from now?” “Should I go with the flow?” “Should I follow the trend?”- We aim to come up with precise answers for every individual differently according to their cognitive needs.
We have started our journey on 21/04/2014 with a great enthusiasm. This concept has been derived from our co-founder Sabid Samayel and Tajwar Quasem whom are currently acting as President and Secretary General of CYDS respectively. We 10 members are working heart & soul to achieve our vision. All of the members are also baked with positional directorship in five different stages.
