IDLC Finance Limited was established in 1985 with the collaboration of international development agencies such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group, Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) and German Investment and Development Company (DEG).

The primary goal of IDLC’s founders was to help modernise the financial services industry, by introducing modern modes of financing hitherto unknown to us in our developing country. This, we set about to do, by pioneering the launch of a multitude of financial products and services. Leasing, initiated by IDLC, today, plays a vital role in the mid term financing of Industrial and Service enterprises. Over the years, IDLC has served the diverse needs of its customers with product offerings ranging from Home Loans for Individuals to Factoring for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to Syndication, Advisory and Merchant Banking services for Corporate Customers. IDLC is now also a licensed deposit-taker and offers high rates of return to its customers, probably one of the best in the country.

In 2010, IDLC’s operating income was approximately US$ 42.39 million and as of 31st December 2010 our asset base was around US$ 377.17 million.
