International Maritime Academy, Bangladesh (IMA) is the first Private Maritime Academy to be established in Bangladesh in the year 2008. It is the only Private Academy to be graded "A" category by Department of Shipping and 3rd Party audit team. IMA has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 by DNV the most prestigious class society in the maritime sector, IMA has already passed out 250 cadets from IMA 1st batch to IMA 4th batch where most completed their sea time and fully employed.
