In 1984 Kabir Group started its first manual mill for producing steel. Since then the group has gradually developed its ranges and business wings into various activities and confirmed its reputation as one of the notable organizations in the steel sector.

As the demand for better quality rebar continues to rise we had to introduce new technology, high automation and increased capacity in steel production. KSRM Steel Plant Ltd is a state-of-the-art POMINI technology, 4,00,000 MT per year capacity rolling mill.

A POMINI technology state-of-the-art steel plant, is equipped with highly sophisticated automations to achieve the maximum level of efficiency and quality.
Producing high Tensile Strength rebar with increased elongation requires a number of integrated technologies and equipments which are installed in the KSRM Steel Plant Ltd.
The Rolling unit produces Grade 500W, & Grade 60 Steel.

---The Q&T Process of KSRM 500W---

The tasks of the rolling process of KSRM Grade 500W rebar is to create a layer of martensite at bar surface, with a predetermined depth, by partial water quenching and to temper the crude martensite formed at the surface by the residual heat flowing from core to the surface during final air cooling.

KSRM has well equipped laboratory for ensuring best quality steel products. Our quality control facility is equipped with all the necessary equipments to ensure the standard of the products are maintained accordingly.

---UNIQUE FEATURES OF KSRM 500W---

HIGH YIELD STRENGTH:
The Yield strength of KSRM 500W is 500 MPa {72500 psi (min)}.


GOOD DUCTILITY:
More strength with higher elongation makes the concrete structure sound and safe. Applying Q&T process on the low carbon steel assures elongation above 14% for KSRM 500W.

BETTER WELDABILITY:
KSRM 500W have no embrittle tendency during welding or cold deformation of welding joints due to unique chemical composition. Due to its low carbon content, it can be butt-welded or lap-welded using ordinary rutile coated electrodes for matching strength.
QUALITY CONSISTENCY:
Q&T process improves the homogeneity and repeatability of the mechanical properties of the rebar and keeps the quality of KSRM 500W consistent.

CORROSION RESISTANT:
Our premium product KSRM 500W is manufactured by thermo mechanical treatment (Q&T) process with no torsional residual stresses on the bars. This results in corrosion resistance characteristics than conventional bars. The rebar supports seismic designs due to its unique combination of strength, ductility and stress ratio.

SUPER STRAIGHT:
KSRM 500W rebar are produced by the State of the Art rolling mills, designed to keep the bar straight as 180°. No more extra effort will be needed for straightening our rebar at construction site.

MORE ECONOMICAL:
High Yield Strength (500 MPa), Better Weldability and less Steel congestion saves the volume of steel requirements in the construction works. KSRM 500W is rolled in a very close tolerance to the diametre ensuring accurate size and weight and “The Perfectly Straight” feature saves extra cost.

---Logistic Support---

KSRM have an integral logistic support system to supply to our customers on time. Setting up Sales Centers across the country has ensured that we are within the reach of customers.
Our Regional Central Depot has enabled us to create a backup system for minimizing the ‘delivery lead time’ covering the whole of Northern and Southern region of the country.
The weighbridges and computerized scales, calibrated by BSTI in the factories as well as in the Sales Centres of KSRM ensure that the customers get the accurate weight.
