Kurmitola General Hospital

The 500 bedded, Kurmitola General Hospital was inaugurated on 13th May 2012 by the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with a view to ensure proper health care services to the habitants of the northern part of Dhaka, especially the neglected poor community. The 1st phase of the construction of this 12-storey public hospital has been completed on 2012-2013 FY and the 2nd phase is expected to be completed by 2015-2016. Although the services were very limited at the beginning but now it is running in full swing with all the available resources including indoor,outdoor, surgery, pathology, Radiology etc. From the very beginning it has proved its uniqueness by -only green hospital in the country, only MRCS examination centre sponsored by RCS (Royal college of surgeons), partner of IHR (International health regulation) and airport health surveillance team, Only "Ebola" ward in city . If all the requirements are provided by the concerned authority, it will be a centre of excellence soon.
