Moheshpur close to the Indian border is a small beautiful village, encircled by widespread paddy field. It is a typical North Bengal village situated 66 km north-west from District town Naogaon. There is a local bus service plying from Naogaon to Agradigun and vice-versa. Some 150 families are living there for decades. At the center of the village a massive dighi/big pond named Sandho Dighi (locally Sonda pakora) is exhibiting its boldness for years. Most of the people are literate, as well as aware of any kind of social prejudices. It is no longer to say that social harmony at Moheshpur is much better than any other villages in the country. When every village is being malfunctioned by political, social, economical disambiguity, Moheshpur is far behind these crevices. Moheshpur was the pioneer village in the liberation war in 1971, which not only provided freedom fighters but also sheltered for those brave hearts.
