Rotaract Club of Leading University Sylhet

From the very beginning, some friends from BBA, CSE, LLB & English department of Leading University were interested about Rotaract Club, specially Arif, Sami, Ahad, Jahir, Adil, Al-Amin, Chisty, Sumon, Janna, Hussain, Zawher & Zaker first show their interest about Rotaract Club by the activities of this international organization (By see an inter-district Rotary program). They organized and express their feelings to Rtn. Dr. Tofayel Ahmed, (Head; Department of Business Administration). He was very much impressed when he knew that some students of Leading University are very much interested about Rotaract Club. Then he introduced Rtr. Enamul Hasan (PP. Modan Mohan College). Rtr. Enamul Hasan helped very much to establish Rotaract Club of Leading University.Rtr. Syed Ali Ashfaq (International Service Director), Rtr. Md. Ali Hussain Sumon (Editor), Rtr. Ahmed Emran Shafi (Co-Editor), Rtr. Md. Ariful Islam,( Chief Sgt-at-Arms) Rtr. Hafiz Md. Al-Amin & Rtr. Md. Rezaul Karim (Sgt-at-Arms). In the organizing the board of the club Rtn. Dr. Tofayel Ahmed (Head; Department of Business Administration), Mr. Asikujjaman Bhuyan (Proctor; Leading University), Mr. Rezaul Karim (Lecturer, Dept. of English) were presented.
This organizing group showed their expression to Rotary Club of Jalalabad. Rtn. Syed Ashraf Ahmed Foyez, (Prsident; Rotary Club of Jalalabad) and RCC rtn. Abdus Satter helped very much to establish Rotaract Club of Leading University Sylhet. This organized board sent to R.I for charter by the sponsoring of Rotary Club of Jalalabad.
Logo of Rotaract club of Leading University Sylhet was designed by Rtr. Ahad Ahmed Chowdhury & Rtr, Johir Uddin Masud. Theme of Rotaract club of Leading University Sylhet is "Learn to Lead" the object of theme is to create leader for future. In 20th November 2008 after 19th Regular Meeting Rotaract Club of Leading University Sylhet got its charter.

Why Rotaract ?
Rotaract is the rotary international`s community service program for young adults aged between 18-30 years was inaugurated during R.I. (rotary international). President Luther A Hodges. On 13 March 1968, the rotaract club of North Carolina, sponsored by the rotary club of North Carolina, USA. Was the fast rotaract club to receive it`s official charter. this club is recognized as the fast rotaract club in this world. Today rotaract continues to experience phenomenal growth. There are currently more than 12,800 rotaract clubs in more Than 182 countries, with an estimated membership of more than 2,13,000 rotaractors. As the program continues to grow, rotaractors repeatedly show that they are prepared for “Fellowship through Service”.

To develop knowledge and understanding of the needs, problem and opportunities in the community and worldwide
To provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and promote international understanding and goodwill toward all people
