Shocheton Nagorik

Shocheton Nagorik Society is a non-government, non-profitable, non-political, voluntary and charitable organization and it is registered under "Section 21 of the Society registration Act 1860 of Government Republic of Bangladesh". All the objects maintioned in the memorandum is given below.

1. To Establish, run and maintain education institutions namely university, college, school, madrasha, polytechnic, traditional training center and research institutes for promotion of education, science, literature and fine arts with permission from concerned authority as and when necessary.
2. To get community radio license if neceressy to air programs on educational and informative to build awareness.
3. To undertake education program of literature, Science, Business Studies & Humanities establishing school, college & university.
4. To take rehabilitation commodities distribution, program among the neglected Mother, Child, Woman & poor community.
5. To make arrangements of training for the purpose of increasing work experience, through education program, technical training for the illiterate, semi literate & poor community through developed system. To establish or support training center.
6. To endeavour about lesson establishing library/reading room among the general public (literate/semi-literate).
7. To establish branch offices of the society in any place in Bangladesh for managing its affairs as may be determined by the society.
8. To accept donations, gifts, contributions or lawful subscriptions towards promoting and maintaining the objectives of the Society invest and apply the same when the Society may need for carrying its objectives.
9. To build awareness of the target people for reducing gender-discrimination and recognize women's contribution in the society.
10. To publish & exhibit program about cultural affairs among the public and to plan and implement strategies or maintain the financial sustainability of the organization.
11. To assist the underprivileged group to be capable for self-reliance and acquire leadership quality.
12. To reach a greater number of people whose vulnerability to be reduced through community based institutions. The Society will organize small groups and encourage them for saving mobilization so that they can undertake income generating activities.
13. To provide technical guidance and coordination to different health and welfare agencies.
14. To help the people to mobilize and avail the local resources through participation in the local power structure or decision making process to strengthen their economic condition and human right.
15. To work for sanitation, hygiene.
16. To improve maternal and child health by taking related program and to prevent HIV/AIDS, to establish mental hospital & mobile hospital and other health related disorders.
17. To motivate the disadvantaged group to be savings-minded depositing small amount by their own through community based organization.
18. To undertake and execute the program of human Resources Development, Environment Development, Preservation of Human rights, Conservation of rehabilitation of Women, Children, Adolescent, and Aged.
19. To create Environment Development, Extension of Education, Mother & child Health and Nutritional Development, Disaster Management.
20. To take any kind of loan, fund and donations from national and International agencies if neceressy. That fund/loan/donation will be used according to the guidelines of donor agency.
21. To study and research the various aspects of preventive and clinical field related to the principals of public health and clinical health.
22. To supply books free of cost among the poor religious and them support establishing mosque/madrasa/temples school promoting standard of Islamic education.
23. To build awareness of the target people for reducing gender-discrimination and recognize women's contribution in the society.
24. To assist for strengthening economic status by implementing saving and credit program.
25. To make awareness among the mobilized people regarding their beneficial programme.
26. To promote education especially for women and children related to positive health.
27. To arrange publicity about usefulness of collection & preserving mechanical & scientific map.
28. To undertake socio-economic activities for reduction of unemployment problem.
29. To execute any type of public welfare of charitable activities.
30. To establish social peace & good governance by improving economic & mental condition of the poor.
31. To provide co-operative, nutrition development and food securites.
32. To operate many welfare activitice like orphanage, free nursing, hospital, helth complex, clinic etc for orphans and poor people,.
33. To work for senior, helpless, unemployed, handicapped citizens.
34. To work to build a non-sectarian and cosmopolitan society and develop a non-racial society.
35. To work for the agricultural development of the society.
36. To work to build awareness against drug by anti drug campaign and also fight to build a drug-free society.
