Bangladesh International Tutorial- BIT

At BIT, we focus on achieving academic excellence, whilst following a strict code of discipline. We believe that every child has the fundamental right to a solid education. This includes children with special needs; BIT is the first school to implement the practice of enrolling physically challenged children. The institution feels that this example must -and eventually will be- adopted worldwide. It is a good learning process for all (Stephen Hawking comes to mind!)

All subjects are taught in accordance with the GCE syllabi. English is the medium of instruction.

A second language is essential for every student; we currently offer Bengali, French and Mandarin Chinese. Bengali is compulsory for all Bangladeshi students, while French is compulsory from class two. Chinese is optional. However if a student chooses to do their IGCSE in Chinese, BIT offers that student a 100% scholarship for their A-Levels.

A range of sports programmes are available. 3 acres (9 Bighas) of land, have been allotted solely for our Games programmes.

We consider Debate, Drama, Science and Technology, Art, Poetry, and Dancing as integral to the educational experience and competitions are organized throughout the academic year. An annual Science Fair is held in every section. BIT is also the undefeated (Girls') volleyball champion in Bangladesh for 20 years straight.

As the great poet Tagore aptly said: “every time a child is born, it brings the hope that God is not yet disappointed with man.”
