Bangladesh Youth Environmental Initiative (BYEI)

The sole aim of BYEI is to engage the youth into facing the critical challenges that are wielded over our economy, environment and society and thus to build a strong leadership of our youth towards an economically and environmentally sustainable Bangladesh.

We believe that protecting our environment from further degradation through raising awareness and through non-violent means of protests would eventually turn the apathetic political will into more active actions and make the business community more responsible towards our environment and thus ultimately make our economy more stable and sustainable and save Bangladesh from the clutches of severe natural disasters and other effects which are pertinent to the climate change and domestic pollution.

It has become imperative for Bangladesh to gather pace in making new developments that can mitigate the erosion of river, the engulfment river banks, the extinction of natural forests and the unsustainable land development. We feel that the youth of the current generation will be the greatest victim of the climate change and thus need to raise their voice and plan for actions that would enable them to live in a stable and sustainable Bangladesh in the future.
