From time immemorial education has been regarded as the main catalyst of the present flourished civilization. But in the existing education system commercial purpose and lack of pragmatic education, our total social system is gripping in the darkness. Keeping it in mind Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation has established this institution as a stepping stone from the darkness, This institution is situated in the lap of Mirpur Botanical Garden and Dhaka National Zoo covering 6.16 Acres of land with congenial and fasciuating atmosphere. Modern facilities of the capital city as well splendid touch of nature go side by side here in keeping with providing education. This institution emerged in the establishment of school section in 1983 and the college started its glorious running with Science group in 1991. After words, Business Studies and Humanities Groups were included respectively in 1996 and 1997 and both of them were exquisite in respect of their colorful speedy running.

More than four thousand students are there in this institution and lots of highly qualified teachers whose concerted efforts have already made it a unique one by ensuring the increasing number of GPA- 5 including above 98% of passing ratio in the S.S.C and H.S.C examinations in recent years. It can be cited here that the number of GPA 5 increases than that of the students of S.S.C level coming from other institutions.

Full-fledged infrastructure having spacious class rooms, subject-wise laboratories and well furnished library, mosque, vast play ground along with extra curricular activities have made the institution exquisite one among the well-famed institutions in Dhaka city and under Dhaka Education Board.

This institution is governed directly by Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation. Special Type of Governing Body’ affiliated by Ministry of Education and Education board controls the total activities and discipline of this institution.

A ‘Director selected by the honourable chairman of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation holds the post of Advisor to the Governing Body. More than this, the honourable chairman of BCIC graces the institution with his valuable directive and advice. At present, the institution is progressing gradually under the direct control of the prolific special type of Governing Body. Due to the lack of higher educational institution, the demand of the students passing from the institution and for the strive of the honourable chairman the opening of honours course is under process.

In the beginning of the session the students and the teachers are provided with academic calendars which include class lessons, class tests, annual cultural programs, national days to observe, miladmahfils and total activities and leaves of the year round. A general meeting with guardians after each final examination is ensured to gear up the studies of the students resulting in a mutual understanding between the guardians and the teachers which ultimately brings forth excellent results for the students.
