Binajuri Sasan Bihar (A BUDDHIST TEMPLE) is located in Binajuri, Raozan, Chittagong, Bangladesh and belongs to Theravada Buddhism order. This temple is founded by late Mr. Mahendra Lal Chaudhuri of Binajuri, Chittagong in 1941. Late Mr. Mahendra Lal Chaudhuri was a Station Master in Yangon, Burma during end of 30's and early of 40's.

The present & lifelong chief monk (abbot) in Sasan Bihar is Upasangharaj of Bangladesh Ven. Dr. Jynashree Mahathero. This temple have produced number of internationally famous monk (abbot) during it's establishment since 1941. It is noted that Sasan Bihar is famous for it's Mahaparinirvana Buddha statue, which was the longest one at that time and one of the oldest PARINIRVAN MELA for 3 days during Maghi Purnima every year. Also this bihar (temple) has the biggest Simaghar (ghyang), built by the founder in 1941. This bihar (temple) had been establisted on a buddhist graveyard (sasan) in 1941, thats why the name Sasan Bihar.

Binajuri Sasan Bihar's role is to unite and promote understanding among Theravāda organisations and followers in Bangladesh & internationally. The Teachings of the Buddha to get release from all kinds of suffering and attain highest bliss of Nibbana(Nirvana).
