Champdani

Champdani is a city with a municipality, near the River Ganges, in Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is under Bhadreswar police station in Chandannagore subdivision. This town is famous for six factories, viz.the GIS Cotton Mill, Dalhousie Jute Mill, North Brook jute Mill, Angus jute Mill, Lagan engineering, and Braithwate Ltd (Ministry of Railways)GeographyChampdani is located at. It has an average elevation of 12 metres (39 feet).The Ganga River in the east, farming area in the west (like Singur area), Bhadreshwar is in the north side, and Baidyabati in south side.
