The Sundarbans are the biggest littoral mangrove forest on the planet, extending 80 km (50 mi) into the Bangladeshi and Indian hinterland from the drift. Its famous for living the royal bengal tiger. The Sundarbans has been pronounced an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The woods aren't quite recently mangrove swamps.
