Glass and Ceramic Engineering Department, RUET

This is the first time GLASS & CERAMIC Department is opened at RUET of Bangladesh,has a high demand of this department especially of this department Engineers.As this is the opening journey in Bangladesh has a great impact in all sectors. Ceramic Engineering deals with the science and technology of non-metallic, inorganic engineering materials. In addition to the diverse field of traditional ceramic materials like refractories, heavy clay wares, cement and glasses, that form the backbone of traditional industry, the rapidly developing field of ceramic engineering includes new, high tech materials such as semiconductors, ceramic semiconductors and structural ceramics. The new ceramics form the strategic material base for future developments in electronics, space and defence related technologies.
