Govt. Degree College,Khumulwng is a nascently shaped under graduate college of the state Tripura(North East India) and approximately 25Km away from the state capital and is mainly populated by the Tribal community of the state. Humanities along with Eco science and Computer education are the subjects which are taught in the under graduate level (with five honours subjects at present) with utmost care in this slim but efficient institute of higher learning.

Beside Educational activity the college is also a spring board for promoting traditional folk culture of the communities it serves. Games and sports and national service schemes are also cared with proper attention. The college, in the previous years, recorded a very high percentage of success list in the university exams. The college is also the recipient of prestigious awards like champion, Inter College Football Tournament ,Inter college indoor games like judo/marshal arts, 1st ,2nd and 3rd prizes in Inter State Science model competitions, awards in State level Quiz and Drama contests .
