Mathabhanga subdivision

Mathabhanga subdivision is a subdivision of the Cooch Behar district in the state of West Bengal, India. It consists of Mathabhanga municipality and three community development blocks: Sitalkuchi, Mathabhanga - I and Mathabhanga - II. The three blocks contain 28 gram panchayats. The subdivision has its headquarters at Mathabhanga.AreaApart from the Mathabhanga municipality, the subdivision contains rural areas of 28 gram panchayats under three community development blocks: Sitalkuchi, Mathabhanga - I and Mathabhanga - II. Headquarters of this block is in Sitalkuchi.Mathabhanga - I blockRural area under Mathabhanga - I block consists of ten gram panchayats, viz. Bairagirhat, Hazrahat - II, Kursamari, Shikarpur, Gopalpur, Jorpatki, Nayarhat, Hazrahat - I, Kedarhat and Pachagarh. Mathabhanga and Ghoksadanga police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is in Mathabhanga.Mathabhanga - II blockRural area under Mathabhanga - II block consists of ten gram panchayats, viz. Angarkata - Pardubi, Ghoksardanga, Nishiganj - II, Unishbisha, Barasoulmari, Latapota, Premerdanga, Fulbari, Nishiganj - I and Ruidanga. Mathabhanga and Ghoksadanga police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is in Bhogmara.
