Pabna Govt.Girls High School, Pabna

The school provides education from class Three to class Ten (SSC). It has two shifts - morning and day. The morning shift starts from 7.30am and day shift from 12.30pm. It is a girls school but has both male and female teachers. The school has one head master and two separate group of teachers for morning and day shift. It has a playground, three buildings and a mosque. There are individual laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, and computer.

Pabna Govt. Girls High School was established in 1983.

Location

The school is located in the center of Pabna town at Dilalpur at 24°01′08″N 89°25′0″E.

Admission

Admission is permitted in class Three and Six once in a year. Admission into the school is competitive. After an initial screening, more than 3000 applicants are offered to appear at an admission test for 240 positions. Coaching centers have been established in Pabna for the admission test.

Academics

Upon a rigorous screening in class Ten, students appeared at the SSC examination. Each year about 2,50,000 students from the north-west region of the country take part in the public examination under the Rajshahi Education Board.

Tuition fee

As it a public school the tuition fees are very low compared to private schools. Tuition fee includes tiffin fee, and it is usually taken monthly. There are three fixed dates in a month when tuition fee is taken. In each class, there are 2/3 class representatives who usually deal with teachers and take care of tiffin, known as the Class Captain. Class captains are elected by the class with a guidance of the class teacher.
