P.R.Thakur Govt College

As a part of the West Bengal Government's initiative to spread quality education in even the remotest areas of our state,a number of government colleges have been established in the recent years . We are proud to say that P.R.THAKUR GOVERNMENT COLLEGE is amongst the first three colleges to be set up under this plan. The College has been named after Pramatha Ranjan Thakur , the man who devoted his life to the cause progress and advancement of backward classes by enlightening them through education and inspiring them to persue a path that leads to dignity and equality. The College will always endeavour to sustain the vision of P.R.THAKUR in its attempt to develop socially responsible,intellectual independent complete individuals irrespective of caste, creed and gender.
