Rotary Club of Sonargaon Dhaka, District 3281

Rotary Club of Sonargaon, Dhaka was began its journey 23 years ago in 1993 by distributing 11,000 pieces of cloths amomng poor and needy residents of Mirpur, Mohammadpur and Shajahanpur of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Since its inception, RCSD has undertaken many similar projects.

Including its Charter President Rtn. Anis A Khan RFSM, the then Vice President Quazi Humayun Kabir, the club has now 45 active members from versatile business classifications. Currently it has three community RC villages, aiding meritorious students and poor cancer patients and actively participates in all the District programs. RCSD releases 100k fish fries in a river of Bangladesh (Titas) every year since 2014 with a goal to help community people and reduce protein indignation of Bangladesh .
It has two Rotaract Clubs as part of its partner services. Club members believes in fellowship and they have excellent fellowship among each other. There are two Major Donors (Level 2), One Multiple Paul Harris Fellow (MPHF), 26 Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) and 2 RFSMs in the club which indicates that the club members truly believe in giving for better to the Humaneterian.

RCSD has three years strategic plans and always moving on to build a better world. Club members meet on every Tuesday at 5.30 PM at Guest House of Dhaka Club in Dhaka, Bangladesh for fellowship.

It has recently completed its 24th year of inception successfully and currently its president is Rtn. Syed Aziz Ahmed and secretary Rtn. Khalid iftekhar wit 17 active board members and 5 club committee chairs.

The club welcome fellow Rotarins to join in these scheduled days for fellowship.
