Satbaria Degree College

Satbaria Degree College is situated on the northern side of the Karatoa River, 10 K.M away from Shahzadpur Upazilla town, under Sirajgonj District. At the time of establishing this college most of the roads were soil made. As a result it was not possible for the students of this Localities to go to Belkuchi, Shahzadpur or Ullapara for Higher Education due to communication means insufficiency and river, Consequently , most of the students dropped out just after passing the S.S.C Exam, specially for the female students it was impossible to active higher education crossing so long distance . In such a situation, the people interested in education of this area established this institution con jointly in 1993 by donating their own land, labor, money and counseling at present, highly educated employed in various sectors.

For improving the quality of education it is essential to create a suitable environment for education. An Ideal class room is one of the major elements for running educational activities. To meet up this demand every class room of this college is decorated fully with necessary educational materials. A large library of this college is one of the reputed libraries of the Upazila. There are more than two thousand books in this library. In this bewildering library more than one hundred learners can study together at a time in a calm and quite silent environment.
