School Of Management, NIT Agartala

National Institute of Technology, Agartala is the second of the NITs in the North Eastern states of India, started in 2006. Since its inception, NIT Agartala has taken rapid steps towards becoming an established institute of repute. Looking at the economic potential of the North-Eastern states, a management school was a logical extension to this technology oriented institute. School of Managements Studies has started operations from July 2012.
The objective of the School of Management is to develop management professionals skilled with analytical and administrative ability. The School also puts effort to enrich them with adequate values of humanities and societal care that would help them to exercise the social responsibility more effectively.
It is the vision of the institute to offer modern pedagogical tools which include case discussions, live projects and presentation along with the conventional classroom teaching. The evaluation of performance blends class participation, case discussion, report preparation, role playing along with other parameters. The students undertake variety of projects which include field survey to enrich their experience and refine their skills in management.
NITA has an active Training and Placement Cell to assist students.
