ABOUT US:
We are a non commercial creative agency/media production house which has a team with a unique collection of backgrounds, skills, and experiences. Our goal is to promote independent artists (such as independent musicians, independent filmmakers, independent artists and other sorts of independent content creators).
We are a bunch of passionate undergrads who want to help these artists and content one step forward towards fulfilling their dreams.
HOW WE GOT HERE:
Established back in 2012 - Studio Lonthon was the brain child of Jishan Zamil, one of the Co-Founders of this agency. His goal was to create a non profit organization who will provide technical support to independent artists and content creators of Bangladesh. And Studio Lonthon was formed in Dhaka, Bangladesh with a camera and four members and started its mission to help independent artists and providing them technical support to produce their video content. Currently the agency has numerous members working in different sectors of its video production team and has a ton of video and audio production gear.
OUR SERVICES:
1. Shooting: We help musicians, film makers, documentary makers and other content creators to help shoot their content. They can contact us and use our gear and crew to shoot their content. And later on edit their content on our FCP editing panel with the help of our editors. Our cinematographers and photographers are just a call away.
2. Editing: If you are a content creator such as a filmmaker, documentary maker or such and you have footages of your project but don't have the skills or panel to edit them you can give us a knock and get that done the way you want it to be with the help of our video editors.
3. Scripting: If you are an indie film maker and have a plot or idea to make a short, mid or even a feature length film - our creative writers and screenplay editors will help and guide you through your stream of ideas and turn it into a proper screenplay.
4. Studio Audio Production and Location Sound Mixing : For musicians, filmmakers and such you can use our gears and crew for professional grade sound recording (both in studio and on location) and edit and master them with the help of our sound engineer.
5. Graphic Designing : Our illustrators and graphic designers will help independent artists with any help with their content if necessary.
HOW WE RUN THESE PROJECTS:
Most of our members are undergraduate students and tech and production geeks and passion is what drives us into doing this. All of the members (from camera crew to management crew) of this agency provides a monthly donation to the studio to run its course and bear the production cost and transport cost of each project. We do part time jobs and other works to pay these monthly donations to our own studio.
We also receive donations from different donors who are well wishers of our agency and wants us to continue these works we are doing.
We also make promos or social media campaigns for small companies, startups or social causes in the least possible cost - which is another way of income of the studio to run its operations.
and we also provide some professional services, video-audio gear and crew rentals and consultancies to collect funds to run the studio's operations.
