West Bengal Trinamool Secondary Teachers' Association- Uttar Dinajpur

We started our journey in 1998 as Shiksha Cell under the umbrella of AITMC and the guidance of Hon. Chief Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee. Our Organisation started to flourish when Trinamool Congress swept Bidhan Sabha Election in 2011. Considering this situation Our Party decided to split this organisation into 5 parts in the presence of MIC School Education Hon. Bratya Basu in 2013. From then on Shiksha Cell was abolished and in place of that West Bengal Trinamool Secondary Teachers' Association (WBTSTA) came into existence. Henceforth , the journey of WBTSTA (Uttar Dinajpur) started. Naturally , the previous Organisational pattern of Shiksha Cell was changed and a new Pattern estiblished.

As a consequence of that I have been given the responsibility of carrying forward the activities of organisation as a District Convenor by our State level Authority. Teachers Association)Although this is a Gana Sangathan , we believe in the ideology of AITMC with its active support to our Organisation.We have inherited huge loan ( Approx 2 lac crore) from the previous Left Govt. We were lacking in security in our service because of few wrong policies adopted by the Left Govt. against the Educational policies created by the Central Govt. regarding RTE, Teachers' Training,Sponsorship,RMSA etc.They brought politics to the yard of Education. Overall this system was directionless. Realising this weakpoints in the Educational Sector of West Bengal. Trinamool led Govt. under the motherly guidance of Mamata Banerjee , took it as a challenged to remove the diasease fromEducational field. The Govt. started the treatment of transforming the whole process which began in 2011 by
1) Regularising our Salary disbursing system through various Banks directly to our individual Accounts.
2) Online Salary System
3) initiatives for transforming the Aided School (as it was equivalent to Private School in SEMIS Report) as Govt. Sposored schools for providing stability to both the teachers and students & Providing Govt. facilities to our service
4) modernisation of syllabus and books and free books
5) Extension of Maternity leaves and introduction of Child care leaves
6) Free Uniform for SC,ST,BPL and girls student
7) millions of bi-cycles distributed amongs the students
8) General and Mutual Transfer
9) Fair and clean SSC and 10% reservation for the Para Teachers
10) Huge recruitment in primary and Secondary section
11) Kanyashree Projects for Girls students
12) So many new schools were setup and huge number of Secondary schools were upgraded to H.S School
13) New Universities and colleges had been set up in 2 years.
.... so many other positive intiatives have been taken by this Govt. to promote Education without any so called bianess (introduced by previous Govt.) "Andolon , Michhil " etc., spoiling working days.This initiatives to Strengthens the confidence of students and teacher in themselves and their work. For the welfare of Student and teacher this Govt is very sesitive. As a teacher I am honoured for performing my nobel duty convey our message to Govt. Till we have dream for more development more planing to reach our goal -- Make Bengal more prosporous - rich - modern in respect of human resourse,wealth and peace. This can only be done by our active participation. You may be Hindu, Muslim ,Jain or me be Left or right minded If you think you are a good man and a part of secondary Education you can join our organisation (WBTSTA) and strenthen our organisation.
