It was founded to educate the offsprings of Border Guards Bangladesh personnel, and is now open for civilians as well.HistoryThe institution was founded on 1 August 1977 as a junior school. In 1978, it was recognised as a secondary school. The first batch of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinees appeared in 1980. In 1983, the institution was upgraded to a college and the first Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (HSC) examinees appeared in 1985. An English version of the institute was established in 2004. The name of the institution was changed in 2011 due to the renaming of the Border Guard Bangladesh.AcademicsThis institution offers both primary and secondary education alongside higher secondary education. The secondary level offers classes for science and commerce groups, the higher secondary level also offers humanities. Bengali and English language versions are available up to secondary level.
